What Is BARION™?

Barion is an electronic payment service that allows you to pay conveniently and securely using a bank card or a prepaid Barion balance at online stores, in mobile applications or when sending money to friends.
The service is provided by Barion Payment Zrt., a financial institution supervised by the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (Central Bank of Hungary), under licence number H-EN-I-1064/2013.

Pay Conveniently by Credit or Debit Card

You do not need to register to make a card payment. Simply enter your card number, expiry date, the CVC security code found on the back of your card and a valid email address.
However, if you create a Barion account, you won't need to enter your card details again when shopping at any merchant accepting Barion payments. You can simply use your email address and password to complete your payment. This makes shopping not only more convenient but also more secure!

Mastercard or Maestro cards
Visa or Visa Electron cards
American Express (Amex) cards

Pay Conveniently Without a Bank Card

If you don't have a bank card, you can use your prepaid Barion balance to make payments. You can top up your balance by bank transfer or cash deposit, and friends or business partners can also send money to your account. In this case, you can complete your payment simply by entering your email address and password.

Free to Use

Customers are not charged any additional fees for card payments. Registration, the Barion mobile application, and sending or receiving money are free of charge. There is no monthly subscription fee either.

Keep Track of Your Purchases

Barion allows you to monitor your purchases online or through its mobile application. Your free Barion Wallet provides instant notifications of your transactions, including information about what you have purchased. You can also manage your Barion balance and send or receive money directly through your wallet.

Security Comes First

Barion's servers are protected by Norton/Symantec/Verisign 2048-bit TLS encryption. Before making a payment, always check that you are entering your bank card details or password on Barion's secure payment page. Your browser indicates a secure connection in green when it identifies the payment page operator as Barion Payment Inc [HU]. Barion holds the PCI DSS certification required by payment card companies, authorising it to process bank card information. The security of Barion's servers has been established in accordance with the requirements of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (Central Bank of Hungary).

Our online store only receives confirmation of the transaction result. Your bank card details are never shared with us! Payments can be completed through the Barion Smart Gateway by entering your card details or, if you have a Barion Wallet, by using your account password. Both options are available on desktop and mobile browsers. You do not need to register to use this payment method. You can choose to register when making your first payment, but registration is entirely optional. Creating a Barion account and using the Barion Wallet are both free of charge. Registration makes future payments more convenient because you won't have to enter your card details again, either at our online store or at any other merchant accepting Barion payments. If you decide to register, we also recommend downloading the Barion mobile application to enjoy its additional features and benefits.

How to Pay with Barion:

Select the product you would like to purchase and add it to your shopping cart!
At checkout, select your preferred shipping method and choose Barion as your payment method. After accepting the Terms and Conditions, click the "Place Order" button to proceed!
Paying by Entering Your Bank Card Details:
- This payment method is available to anyone with a Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron or American Express debit or credit card enabled for online payments. You will need your card details and a valid email address to complete the transaction. Barion registration is not required, but you must accept the applicable Terms and Conditions before making a payment.
Paying with a Barion Wallet:
- Paying with a Saved Bank Card
  This payment option is available to anyone with a valid Barion account and a Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron or American Express debit or credit card enabled for online payments. Your card details are securely stored on Barion's servers, so you only need your email address and password to complete future payments. You can save multiple bank cards in a single Barion Wallet.
- Paying with a Prepaid Barion Balance
  This payment method is available to anyone with a valid Barion account, even if they do not have a bank card. All you need to complete a payment is your email address and password. You can top up your Barion balance in advance by making a cash deposit at a Barion top-up location or transferring money from your bank account. If you need to add funds urgently, you can also top up your balance using a bank card.
